Edward “”Ed”” Allen Kyser Jr., 71, eldest son of Edward A. Kyser Sr. and Blanche Kyser, was born Feb. 7, 1934, at Bolivar. He died April 3, 2005, at his home at Cleveland.He graduated from Houston High School and attended the Air Force Academy before graduating from Central Missouri State University.He married Linda Antionia Bauerle May 29, 1958. After college, he joined Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. as an auditor. Later, he was a regional vice president for National Security Life Insurance Co. In the ’70s and ’80s, he owned and operated Kyser Grain Co. with offices at Drexel and Louisburg, Kan., as well as being an active farmer.After leaving the grain and feed business, he raised herbs and vegetables and was a regular at the Overland Park Farmers Market before retiring in 2001.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.Surviving are his wife of 46 years; three sons, Edward A. Kyser III of Aiken, S.C., Dale A. Kyser of Vernon Hills, Ill., and Philip A. Kyser of Troy; two brothers, Don Kyser of Buford, Calif., and Kenneth Kyser of Moberly; and eight grandchildren.Graveside services were April 6 at the Oak Hill Cemetery near Houston under the direction of Runyon Funeral Home of Drexel.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Twin Lakes Hospice, 301 N.
