Janet Lee Venable, 50, daughter of James R. Hall and Betty Lou Shelton Hall, was born July 25, 1954, at Landstuhl, Germany. She died May 27, 2005, at her home in Houston.She lived in several places around the world because of her father’s military career and went to school in Turkey and Georgia. The family lived in Springfield for a time, where she did most of her schooling. She graduated from Glendale High School in 1972 and the family moved to Houston in 1984.Mrs. Venable was a certified nurses aide and certified medicine technician. Her nursing career was at Houston House and Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.She loved to care for children and baby sat for the last 15 years, keeping most of her extended family from shortly after birth until they went to school.She accepted Jesus as her savior at age 9 at the First Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga., and was a member of the Ozark Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.Surviving are her husband of 19 years, Tommy Venable; a son, Andrew Henderson of Houston; daughter, Whitney Venable of Houston; her father, James R. Hall of Houston; brother, James V. Hall of Dixon; and an unborn granddaughter.Graveside services were June 1 at the Pine Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Hamilton officiating.Memorials may be made to Hospice of Care. “
