Nancy Hayes of Houston was recently named the December employee of the month at Texas County Memorial Hospital.
An employee of TCMH for three years, Hayes is known for her professional demeanor and customer service skills.
“Nancy is always professional and puts the customer’s needs first,” said Toni McKinney, registration department director at TCMH. “She will ask patients if they know where they are going in the hospital, and she will walk with them if they do not know where to go.”
McKinney described Hayes as “solid, confident, efficient and friendly.” She noted that Hayes recently volunteered to work on Christmas day to help out a co-worker who was scheduled to work but needed to travel on Christmas day to visit a relative.
As employee of the month, Hayes received a certificate honoring her achievement; a pin; $100 cash; a special parking place in the TCMH lot; one day of paid vacation; membership in the TCMH Fitness Center; $50 gift card; gift certificate to D&L Florist; and CD of the month from KUNQ.
A reception is planned at the hospital in honor of Hayes, who is eligible for the 2009 TCMH employee of the year award.
