Kim Scroggins has resigned as executive director of the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce, President Scott Roberts announced Thursday morning.
Scroggins accepted a position with Air Evac, according to Roberts. Her resignation was effective Wednesday.
“Kim has been a valuable member of our community and has served the chamber well in her year and half of employment,” Roberts said. “Her leadership and direction have provided positive benefits to the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce.”
The chamber’s board of directors will meet at its regular monthly meeting Oct. 22 and will announce shortly thereafter the procedure for selecting the new director, according to Roberts. He said the board and Pam Kell, administrative assistant, will oversee the chamber’s day-to-day activities.
