Two persons received injuries Tuesday in an accident on slick pavement near Twin Bridges on U.S. 63 north of Houston.
Cpl. Curtis Haden of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a southbound 1995 Ford minivan driven by Russell Reed, 40, of Raymondville, ran partially off the right side of the highway and struck a guardrail before sliding across the highway and hitting an opposite guardrail.
The vehicle was later struck broadside by a northbound 2004 Chevrolet pickup driven by William M. Breeden, 52, of Licking.
Reed, who was wearing a seat belt, refused treatment. Breeden was taken with minor injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt, Haden said.
Both vehicles were totaled.
