Ellen Lee of Licking was recently named Texas County Memorial Hospital’s October employee of the month.

Lee is a housekeeper for TCMH, and she has worked at the hospital for nine years in several departments such as the TCMH Family Clinic in Licking, the business office and the hospital’s administrative offices.

She was nominated for the award by Doretta Todd-Willis, TCMH chief nursing officer.

“Ellen strives to make a better day for everyone she meets,” Todd-Willis said. “She gives continuously. Ellen takes great pride in her work and will do whatever is asked of her.”

It was the second time Lee has received employee of the month honors. She was the February employee of the month in 2005.

As employee of the month, Lee received a certificate honoring her achievement; a pin; $100 cash; a special parking place in the TCMH lot; one day of paid vacation; a membership in the TCMH Fitness Center; a $50 gift card; a gift certificate to D&L Florist; and CD of the month from KUNQ.

A reception is planned at the hospital in honor of Lee, who is eligible for the 2009 TCMH employee of the year award.
