Houston senior Shelbi Moore passes to a teammate in the second half of Friday's loss to Lindbergh.

Lindbergh went on a 22-1 run in the second and third quarters and cruised past the Houston Lady Tigers 48-34 Friday night at Hiett Gymnasium.

Erica Keeney scored 10 of her team-high 17 points in the fourth quarter. Amber Honig added five points.

Behind 14-4 after the opening quarter, Houston got points from four different players — highlighted by Jessica Herndon’s 3-pointer and a pair of Keeney baskets — to make it 17-15. Things went downhill in a hurry from there.

Lindbergh scored the last five points of the second quarter for a 22-15 halftime advantage, then scored 17 of the first 18 points of the third quarter to take a commanding 39-16 lead.

The Lady Tigers went nearly 12 minutes without a field goal as Lindbergh pulled away. After Keeney’s layin with 3:47 left before halftime, Houston didn’t score another field goal until Elizabeth Hayes’ basket to beat the third-quarter buzzer.

The Lady Tigers also struggled at the foul line. They missed 12 of their 21 attempts.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Kenzie Scheets scored 15 points to lead the JV Lady Tigers past Lindbergh 41-36 Friday night.

Alexa Ichord added nine points for Houston, which converted 19 of its 30 free throws. Amber Sillyman was 6-for-6 at the line.
