Spc. Adam D. Suda, of Success, was recently recognized by the 3-139th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment’s command sergeant major of the 1/82nd Airborne Division. Suda, who received a coin, is deployed with the 1139th Military Police Co. of Harrisonville for a yearlong tour overseas.

“He remained calm and took decisive action so that the area wasn’t disturbed by unauthorized personnel,” said 1st Lt. Jakin Waldock, 1139th MP executive officer. “Sorry I can’t provide details but suffice it to say that Spc. Suda displayed maturity beyond his years and brought calm to a tense situation.”

Suda’s home unit is the 2175th Military Police Co. in Hannibal, and he has been with the Missouri National Guard for three years. This deployment is his first.

Suda is a 2008 graduate of Houston High School. He is married to Alyssa Suda of Houston and is expecting a daughter in March. He is the son of Douglas and Kimberly Suda of Success.
