A 37-year-old Mountain Grove man wanted following a New Year’s Day stabbing at a Texas County bar was arrested over the weekend.
Lt. Melissa Dunn of the Texas County Sheriff’s Department said Casey B. Blair, 37, was arrested in southeast Missouri and transported to Bonne Terre. He is charged with second-degree assault following an altercation at the Midway bar east of Mountain Grove on U.S. Business 60.
Texas County Sheriff Carl Watson said a white male was stabbed numerous times Jan. 1 and made his way to the Mountain Grove Police Department to seek medical aid shortly after 1 a.m. The victim was flown to a Springfield hospital.
Watson said an investigation found that two males had a verbal confrontation inside the bar. One was asked to leave. The second left a short time later and was approached by the Blair in the parking lot.
