A Licking man walking down a street in only his underwear faces multiple charges after forcing his way into a residence.
The Texas County Sheriff’s Department said it received a call Feb. 16 that a man was walking down Kitchem Drive in only his underwear. The temperature was around 23 degrees at the time.
With a deputy arrived, residents directed him to a nearby home. Authorities say Silford L. Decker, 32, had acquired clothing somewhere and forced his way into a residence. He was arguing with the homeowners and making threats toward them and their animals.
Decker, who had been released from the Missouri Department of Corrections facility in Farmington earlier that day, was charged with burglary, trespass and peace disturbance. His bond was set at $100,000.
