Andy Sodano

Andy Sodano is a Republican candidate for Texas County presiding commissioner. He resides just outside of Raymondville and owns businesses in Houston and Licking. He raises black Angus cattle.

He grew up on a Pennsylvania farm and worked in the family construction business. He has traveled the United States as a large general contractor before starting his own business in Washington state. That led to owning and operating various companies including: general contractor, concrete contractor, land and property development, property management, hotels, restaurants, office buildings, shopping centers, valet parking lots, franchise development and tanning salons before selling to retire in Missouri.

He is the owner of Houston Self Storage, Licking Self Storage, Country Cupboard, Detail Master Home Inspections and Journeys End Range. He is a member of Houston Lions Club, Licking Chamber of Commerce, Texas County Farm Bureau board, Missouri Farm Bureau Commodities Committee, Missouri Farm Bureau Beef Advisory Committee, Missouri Farm Bureau Promotion and Education Committee, chartered organization representative for Troop 99 of the Boys Scouts of America and branch president, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sodano says he believes in smaller government, low taxes and helping people to become self reliant, not dependent. He is pro-life and pro-gun, he said.

He has been married to his wife, Melinda, for four years. They have six daughters.
