Dr. Eugene Honeywell, who is this year's rodeo parade grand marshal.

A Licking physician has been named grand marshal of this year’s Licking PRCA Rodeo parade at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Dr. Eugene Honeywell, D.O., who cared for Licking residents beginning with his arrival to the community in 1993, is the marshal for the parade whose theme is “Happy Trails.”

Area businesses, churches, groups and clubs are encouraged to get their float ready. There will be a $75 prize awarded to first place with ribbons for second and third.

Line-up for the parade is 1 p.m. at the Licking High School parking lot, with horses and wagons lining up at Deer Lick Park. Floats, vintage autos, tractors, wagons, horses, bikes, four wheelers, motorcyclists and walkers are welcome.
