Captain Billy E. Chadwick will retire July 1 from the patrol.

The captain of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop G is retiring July 1, the patrol announced this week.

Captain Billy E. Chadwick retires after 35 ½ years of service with the patrol. Chadwick was promoted to captain and designated troop commander of Troop G in 1995.

Chadwick was born in Marshall, Ark., and graduated from Witts Springs High School in 1970. He earned a bachelor’s degree from School Of The Ozarks.

Chadwick and his wife, Diana S. Dablemont, have two grown daughters. Rachel Peterson and husband, Jason, live in West Plains, and Sarah Kirby and husband, Charlie, live in Springfield. The Chadwicks also have three grandchildren.
