Eunice Mae Seaman, 79, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Storm Lake, Iowa, daughter of Harold and Leona Kroll. She and Charles Seaman were married Nov. 25, 1950, in Burlington, Iowa.
She was raised in the Burlington, Iowa, area. She attended and graduated from high school there and lived there until 1990, when she and her husband retired in Houston.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, summer picnics on the Mississippi River, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and pig roasts. Her hobbies included quilting, sewing, gardening and reading. She and her husband enjoyed riding motorcycles throughout the midwest and trips to Texas, Florida, Colorado, South Dakota and Tennessee.
She voluntureed with the auxiliary at Texas County Memorial Hospital and served as president and secretary. She was a member of the Red Hats and OWL group and was a cancer survivor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents; and a brother, Roger Kroll.
Survivors include two children, Carol Askew and Mark Seaman; four sisters, Maxine McCain, Betty Sisco, Shirley Allen and Sheila Kroll; and two brothers, Stanley and Virgil Kroll.
Graveside services are 10 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at Greenwood Cemetery in West Burlington, Iowa. A celebration of her life will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Houston Senior Center.
The body was cremated under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
