Eula Joan Hutcheson, 81, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010.
She was born July 19, 1929, in Cabool, daughter of Lee and Dessie Amick Smith. She and Earl Hutcheson were married Nov. 6, 1947.
She graduated from Houston High School in 1947. She worked on the family farm, at H&R Block and the payroll department at Lee Company. She retired from there after 25 years.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior when she was young and joined the Union Baptist Church. After her marriage, she and her family attended Fairview Pentecostal Church.
She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and boating.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lee “Buck” Smith; two sisters, Euleen Walker and Eugenia Carter; her husband, Earl Hutcheson; a daughter, Peggy Galloway; infant twin sons; and a stepson, Nick Newman.
Survivors include three daughters, June Watts of Rogersville, Jane Romines of Houston and Liz Lancaster of Theodosia; a son, Jimmy Hutcheson of Huggins; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Euhlan Smith of Elsinore, Utah.
Services were Thursday, Nov. 11, at Fairview Pentecostal Church with Pastor Bill Villapiano officiating. Burial was in Bado Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
