Texas County Memorial Hospital physicians John Paulson, D.O., PhD, and Gretchen Price, D.O., each recently received their board certifications.
Paulson, family medicine physician at TCMH, received his certification from the American Board of Family Practice Physicians, making him a board certified family medicine physician. Price, internal medicine physician at TCMH, received her certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine, making her a board certified internal medicine specialist.
Paulson joined the TCMH Medical Complex in Houston in July. He attended Oklahoma State University Center of Health Science in Tulsa, Okla., and completed the Cox Family Medicine Residency program in Springfield.
As a family practice physician, Paulson specializes in the treatment of patients from birth to the end of life. He provides care for a variety of medical issues such as diabetes, wound care, sports medicine and orthopedics. Paulson also has specialized interest in cosmetic medicine and will provide outpatient dermatology care at the clinic.
Paulson resides in Houston with his wife, Crissy and their daughter, Ella.
Price joined the TCMH Medical Complex in Houston in August. She attended A.T. Still University in Kirksville and completed her internal medicine residency program at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
As an internal medicine physician, Price sees adult patients. She specializes in the treatment of multiple, complex and chronic conditions such as diabetes, congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She has specialized interest in allergies and bariatrics.
Price resides in Houston with her husband, Dr. Schaun Flaim, and they have two sons, Caleb and Eli.
