Military veteran

Emmons “Bud” Pritchard, 89, died Saturday, July 27, 2013.

He was born Nov. 26,1923, in Black Creek, N.Y., son of Lorenzo D. and Jennie G. Smith Pritchard. He and Laura E. Pritchard were married July 25, 1946.

He was a World War II veteran in the Army. He was a farmer most of his life and loved his animals. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry D. Pritchard; a son, John J. Pritchard; his parents; a sister, Doris Burdic; and five brothers, Edward, Chester, Fremont Elmer, Lorenzo Jr. and Leon Pritchard.

Survivors include two sons, Donald C. Pritchard of Licking and Robert Pritchard of Arkansas; three daughters, Rose Marie Woods of Bluffton, Ohio, Sandra L. Fredenburg of Alton and Diane L. Jackson of Licking; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Gladys Prochaska of Sun Lakes, Ariz.

Services were Tuesday, July 30, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Father Matthew Rehrauer officiating. Burial was in Pritchard Cemetery.
