Erica Dawn Kelly and Parke Stevens Jr.

“The Stanley,” a historic event space in Lee’s Summit, was the site of the wedding ceremony uniting Erica Dawn Kelly, daughter of Pat and Joy Kelly of Paris, and Parke Stevens Jr., son of Parke and Brenda Stevens Sr. of Huggins, on May 25 with Pastor Troy Campbell officiating.

Hannah Kunze was in charge of the guestbook and distributed the programs. Ushers Landon Groenenboom and Mark Ludwig seated the guests.

The wedding party consisted of Heidi Edwards, cousin of the bride, as matron of honor, and friends, Molly Crain, Joni Groenenboom and Crystal Combs as bridesmaids.

Flower girls were Meghan Edwards, Sage Hunter and Madilynn Hunter, all cousins of the bride.

A friend of the groom, Travis Campbell, was the best man with groomsmen Aaron Kunze, Bryan Ammons and cousin of the groom, Chad Carbonell.

The bride was escorted by her father to the music of Trumpet Voluntary, as they passed under a Marine sword detail of eight Marines lining the aisle.

The newlyweds left for a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic. They will reside in the Kansas City area. Erica is employed by KVC Behavorial HealthCare in Kansas City, Kan., as a community resource specialist. Parke graduated the week prior to the wedding from UMKC, has passed the bar exam and is currently participating in the Marines officers training program in Quantico, Va.
