The Houston School District has announced eight makeup days for sessions missed due to inclement weather.
Superintendent Scott Dill said school will be held Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 14 and May 20, 21, 22, 23 and 27.
Under state law, the district will not make up the eighth (Wednesday) and 10th (Friday) missed snow days. If Houston misses 14 total days, it will not be required to make up any days.
Dill said he would prefer to dismiss for summer break before Memorial Day on May 26. Among the available options are removing one day from the five-day Easter break or a Saturday session, but Dill said he would prefer not to host classes on Saturday.
School will be in session the following eight days in Houston:
- Jan. 20
- Feb. 17
- March 14
- May 20
- May 21
- May 22
- May 23
- May 27
