The Texas County Sheriff’s Department is actively looking for a girl who went missing last week.
Kylie Long, 15, who was in foster care and enrolled at Houston High School, did not return home from school last Jan. 28. Texas County Sheriff James Sigman said a witness stated Long, who is not originally from Texas County, got into a yellow Nissan Pathfinder Tuesday after school in the downtown area of Houston.
Sigman said the sheriff’s department is working with authorities in Phelps and Franklin counties in an attempt to locate her.
“We are asking that anyone with any information about Kylie’s whereabouts to contact the Texas County Sheriff’s Department,” Sigman said.
The sheriff department’s phone number is 417-967-4165.
