Small business expo

An event Saturday in Houston will feature area small businesses.

The ‘Down Home Country Treat & Treasures’ is 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Houston Rural Fire Station. The expo includes 16 vendors with crafts and other items. There will be free door prizes and drawings for those attending.

The event is sponsored by Country Seasons Catering, D&L Florist and Perfect Timing Photography. Among the displays will be:

  • Free food samples from Country Seasons Catering.
  • Mother’s Day and prom displays from D&L Florist.
  • Photography examples and spring deals by Perfect Timing Photography.
  • Speciality cakes to taste and view from DeLish Cakes.
  • Scentsy items from Michelle Ennis, Superstar Independent Scentsy Consultant.
  • Paparazzi jewelry by Jerry Barton.
  • Hand-crafted amish baskets.
  • Simply Unique Crafts by Jodi Shafer, Wilma Stark and Erin Kinserlow.
  • Pampered Chef items from Wendy Crocket, independent advanced director.
  • Thirty-One totes and bags by Karri Keller.
  • Avon display from Teresa Willis.
  • Cowgirl Bling & Things by Gina Rickman.
  • Close to My Heart Paper Crafting by Vicky Bennett.
  • Serenity Wellness from Kathie Bruns.
  • Necklaces, hair bows and headbands by Nicole Kell from Mother Mae I.
  • Painted canvases by Brittney McNiell of Things We Hope For.

“Come on down and support your local small business owners, try some great food, enjoy some wonderful company and maybe win a prize or two,” said organizer Chantil Richards.
