Three Licking residents, including two young children, were injured Thursday morning when the vehicle they were traveling in struck a tree just east of their hometown.
Tpr. Stacy Crewse of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Kadilyn R. Ramsey, 22, was traveling eastbound at 7:20 a.m. on Highway 32 when a vehicle driven by Alyssa J. Sanchez, 19, pulled her path. Ramsey swerved to avoid a collision, and her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Kadilyn Ramsey and Braylinn D. Ramsey, 3, a passenger in the vehicle, were taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Another passenger, Braxton W. Ramsey, an infant, was transported by private vehicle to TCMH with minor injuries.
Crewse said all three Ramseys were wearing safety devices. The 2001 Jeep SUV was totaled.
Sanchez’s vehicle had moderate damage. She was not injured.
Trp. Marty Wiseman assisted at the scene.
