A Summersville woman was injured Wednesday morning in a rollover accident two miles south of her hometown.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the 10:03 a.m. accident on Highway 17 occurred as Johnnie R. Franks, 67, pulled into the path of a northbound 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Sonya R. Fiske, 27, also of Summersville. The patrol said Fiske’s vehicle struck Franks’ 2007 Chevrolet HHR, causing it to overturn.
Franks, who had minor injuries, was taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Mountain View. Fiske was uninjured. Tpr. Mark Philpott, who was assisted by two others, said both drivers were wearing seat belts.
Franks’ vehicle was totaled. Fiske’s vehicle had moderate damage.
