A Cabool woman was arrested on two charges Saturday, May 21, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

A Plato teenager was injured Sunday afternoon when the vehicle he was traveling in struck several trees after running off Highway 17 one mile south of Roby.

Sgt. George Falterman said William D. Arnold, 18, was transported by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital following the 3:40 p.m. accident. Arnold, who was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries.

The driver, Nicholas J. Acup, 18, of Plato, was uninjured. Falterman said the accident occurred as his 1995 GMC Sonoma dropped its wheels off the pavement and went off the roadway and struck several trees after Acup overcorrected.

Acup was wearing a seat belt. The pickup was totaled.
