Plato resident Jasmine Richards was named a silver medalist during the Professional Photographers of America’s 2015 International Photographic Competition Aug. 3-6 at Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville, Ga.
A panel of 43 experts from across the U.S. selected the top photographs from nearly 5,200 entries submitted in the event. Just over 2,100 images were selected for the “General Collection” and 1,085 (roughly 21 percent) were selected for the esteemed “Loan Collection” – the best of the best.

JASMINE RICHARDS
Richards (who owns and operates Vivid Impressions Photography) was named one of only 115 silver medalists because one of her four “merited images” made the PPA Loan Collection. Her work will be on display during an international photographic exhibit held in conjunction with Imaging USA (an annual convention and expo for professional photographers and several photographic associations) Jan. 10-12 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
All Loan Collection images and more than 200 selected General Collection images will be published in a book by Marathon Press.
