A Cabool woman was injured Thursday afternoon in an accident near Springfield.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Joy E. Lower, 80, was taken to Mercy Hospital following the 3:10 p.m. wreck on U.S. 160. She was wearing her seat belt and had minor injuries.
The patrol said Lower was a passenger in a westbound vehicle drive by Harold G. Bennett, 82, of Cabool, that pulled into the path of a northbound car drive by Taylor A. Steele, 17, of Marshfield. Bennett and Steele, who were both wearing seat belts, were uninjured.
Bennett’s 2005 Lincoln Continental and Steele’s 2002 Pontiac Grand Am were both totaled.
