Jimmie Leroy Shriver, 67, passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at his home in Tunas.
He was born in Nagle, son of Arthur Ralph Shriver and Rosa Faye Cook. He and Joyce Neville Lynch were married in June 1969.
He served in the Marines from 1967 to 1969. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding horses.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Ronald Wayne Shriver.
Survivors include his mother, Rosa Faye Collins; a sister, Brenda Fayrene Dampier; a half-sister, Opal Miller; two daughters, Angela Dawn Shriver-Vochatzer and Cherity Michelle Shriver; and many other extended family members and friends.
Services were Monday, Aug. 15, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Pitts officiating. Burial with military honors was in Nagle Cemetery in Tyrone.
