A Houston High School graduate was selected as an honoree for the Joplin Regional Business Journal’s “Fifteen Under 40” for 2016.
Shara Gamble, operations process and project director at TAMKO Building Products, Inc., will be recognized Thursday along with the other honorees during an award dinner in Joplin.
Gamble attended Missouri Southern State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in accounting and management. She began her career at Walmart and worked her way up to department manager and then to senior benefits analyst at Walmart’s corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Ark.
Gambled joined TAMKO in November 2006 as a human resources administrator. She has since been promoted to human resources manager, director of human resources and her current role. She is responsible for oversight, coordination and improvement of operations staff processes and special projects at TAMKO. She has also earned several professional Human Resources certifications including SHRM-CP and PHR.
Gamble also serves as president on the board for Tri State Human Resources Association and was director of certification in 2015 for the Missouri State SHRM council. She is also a member of Women In Manufacturing and Soroptimist International of Joplin.
In her personal time, Gamble volunteers at Forest Park Baptist Church as a Kid City Volunteer teaching children about God. She also volunteers annually at Operation Fairy Godmother organizing dresses and suits for high school kids who need financial help to attend prom, dances or other special events.
