An Elk Creek boy was injured at about 7:15 p.m. Dec. 1 in an accident north of Cabool, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Three people were injured, including one seriously, Tuesday afternoon when a vehicle struck a tree.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Megan E. Rosso, 18, of Mountain Grove was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield following the 2:35 p.m. wreck on Highway M five miles north of Cabool. Two passengers, Dakota R. McAllister, 21, and Avery C. Schamber, 18, both of Cabool, had moderate injuries. They were taken to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.

The patrol said the accident occurred when Rosso, who was driving southbound, ran off the roadway and struck a tree. It was unknown if she was wearing a seat belt. McAllister and Schamber were wearing seat belts.

The 2001 Dodge Caravan was totaled.
