A Texas County woman who was seriously injured Thursday in a crash southeast of Houston faces several charges, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Shelly J. Laurent, 55, was the driver of a northbound truck that ran of the right side off Highway DD, overcorrected and overturned, ejecting the driver, said Cpl. Curtis Haden. Laurent was flown to Cox South after the 4 p.m. crash about a mile of Highway 17.
She is charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia – methamphetamine, DWI, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and wearing no seatbelt, Haden said. The truck had extensive damage.
