An Elk Creek boy was injured at about 7:15 p.m. Dec. 1 in an accident north of Cabool, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

A Bucyrus woman was charged with driving while intoxicated and child endangerment following a rollover accident that injured a two-year-old Tuesday night near Roby.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Misty D. Prewett, 25, was taken to the Texas County Jail for a 12-hour hold following the 8:20 p.m. wreck on Highway 32. She was also charged with careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, no seat belt and no child restraint.

A passenger, Brixton B. Jacobs, 2, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. He and Prewett were not wearing seat belts, according to the patrol.

The patrol said the wreck occurred as Prewett’s westbound 2002 Dodge Intrepid failed to negotiate a turn, traveled off the right side of the highway and overturned. The vehicle was totaled.
