CLIFFORD CAMPBELL

Clifford Raymond Campbell, 86, son of William Earl and Lula Opal (Ragain) Campbell, was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Upton, Mo. He passed away Dec. 11, 2016, in Mountain Grove, Mo., with his family by his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Jean Stilley, Bessie and Lavena Campbell; and a brother-in-law, Darrell Daugherty.

Clifford is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Erma of the home; his children, Gary Campbell and wife, Kim, of Ellis Prairie, Mo., Terry Camp bell and wife, Tammy, of Fordland, Mo., and Sharon England and husband, Jerry, of Mountain Grove, Mo.; a brother, Delbert Campbell and his wife, Elaine, of Bucyrus, Mo.; two sisters, Jessie Daugherty of Springfield, Mo., and Marilyn Brown of Branson, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Andrea Morgan, Bradley Campbell, Amanda Smith, Brandon Campbell, Brian Campbell, Jennifer Cooper and Dylan McKinney; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous other family members; and a host of friends.

Clifford attended school at Pleasant Ridge. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He was baptized in the Roubidoux Creek as a young man and enjoyed attending many different churches.

Clifford married Erma Tate on Sept. 17, 1956, in Hernando, Miss. They enjoyed many years together, attending blue grass festivals, farming and family. Clifford was an excellent fiddler and enjoyed playing music with family and friends. Clifford drove the school bus for Houston and Success for over 17 years. He touched many students’ lives with his wit and grit. He could be found on Sunday nights at McDonald’s visiting with his friends. His greatest joy was his family; he took pride in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Clifford was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.

Services were Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at Evans Funeral Home. Burial was in Hickory Ridge Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Brad Campbell, Brian Campbell, Brandon Campbell, Dylan McKinney, Jayson Morgan, Scott Smith and Josh Cooper.
