A local man faces felony child endangerment charges after an infant tested positive for methamphetamine.

Brandon M. Williams, 29, of 10201 Highway 95 in Lynchburg, is charged with two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs and is held in the Texas County Jail on $500,000 bond.

Authorities said the young child also tested positive for THC (marijuana). Testing was performed by the United States Drug Testing Laboratories.

According to a probable cause statement submitted to the county prosecutor by a Texas County Sheriff’s Department deputy, a Missouri Department of Social Services agent reported Oct. 31 that the child had tested positive for meth. The officer stated he had responded on Oct. 3 to the man’s residence regarding a domestic case, and that three juveniles had at that time been removed from the home and custody of he and a woman.

Williams was also charged with abuse or neglect of a child from an incident on Oct. 9, 2015. A woman, Darci D. Jensen, 30, of Lebanon, is also charged in the same incident. She is held in the Texas County Jail on $250,000 bond.
