Jeffrey Jack Canterbury, 42, passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 30, 1974, in Houston, son of Benjamin Franklin and Virginia Grogan Canterbury. He and Kela Kofahl were married June 21, 1996.
He worked for the Glazier Union 513 in commercial construction in the St. Louis area for more than 20 years. He loved good food, fishing, hiking, watching movies (especially old westerns), country music and the outdoors.
He enjoyed camping with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Michael Canterbury; and a sister, Pam Canterbury.
Survivors include his wife, Kela Canterbury of the home in Licking; a daughter, Kelsey Canterbury; stepson, Michael Kofahl; a stepdaughter, Kayla Kofahl; his mother, Virginia Freeman of Houston; four sisters, Christine Brazier of Licking, Crystal Turrubiates of Houston, Sherry Canterbury of Houston and Julia Freeman of Troy; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Services were Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Villapiano officiating. Burial was in the Cabool City Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
