A light rain is freezing on roadways, causing dangerous conditions, authorities said. 

The Texas County Rescue Squad was called at about 4:10 p.m. Friday at Twin Bridges north of Houston after a crash.

Authorities warned that the area was “extremely slick” and the Missouri State Highway Patrol was slowing traffic down north of Houston. 

Minutes later, another accident was south of Licking near Agri-Enterprises.

Earlier: It has been a busy Friday morning for the Missouri State Highway Patrol after numerous accidents — some with injuries — were caused by a light coat of ice in the Cabool and Mountain Grove areas. 

Ambulances and officers were busy responding to calls. 

At about 11 a.m., the Houston Rural Fire Department and Roby Fire Department were called to a trailer house on fire on Suzan Lane off North Highway 17.
