A Licking man is jailed on felony drug charges after being arrested last Monday afternoon in Licking.
Licking Police Chief Scott Lindsey said an officer on patrol observed Norman R. Jackson, 35, of Licking walking on Sherrill Street, and was aware that Jackson had an active Texas County warrant for distribution, delivery, manufacture or possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
The officer arrested Jackson and transported him to the Texas County Jail. Upon arrival at the jail, authorities found that Jackson had concealed on his person six individually packaged bags of methamphetamine.
A probable cause statement will be submitted to the Texas County prosecutor seeking an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute. Jackson is held on $250,000 bond on the original warrant.
