Applications for 98 children from 42 families have been received for the annual Share Your Christmas drive that helps people needing an extra hand during the holiday.
As in past years, the program’s headquarters is the basement of the Houston Lions Club building on North U.S. 63. It operates 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The deadline for applications is Friday, Dec. 8.
Persons wishing to buy gifts for kids enrolled can receive suggestions via “Angel Trees” at the Houston Walmart Supercenter, Sonic of Houston, Forbes Pharmacy and Simply Posh Day Spa.
Many children need winter coats. New and good used clothing also would be appreciated, as would be toys and household items.
