Rev. Bob White, son of Luther Floyd White and Georgia Coats White, was born June 26, 1935, in Simmons, Mo. He passed from this life Nov. 9, 2017, as a result of a tractor accident.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Katheryn, Nadine and Jeanene; one brother, Bill; and an infant son, Randy Lawrence White.

He married Millie Capps on May 2, 1954, and to this union three sons and two daughters were born. Besides his wife, Millie, he is survived by his children, Jackie (Ingrid) White of Houston, Mo., Robert White of Forsyth, Mo., Vicky (Randy) Brinson of McDonough, Ga., and Susie (Kelly) Lay of Houston, Mo.; grandchildren, Shannon White of Griffin, Ga., Adam (Sarah) White of Killeen, Texas, Megan (John) Dorroh of Pelion, S.C., Shelby (Josh) Creek of Raymondville, Mo., Yasmin Kall, of Kentucky, and Kenneth Kall of Florida; great-grandchildren, Payton Choate and Victoria Choate of McDonough, Ga.; Logan and Samantha White of Kelleen, Texas, and Owen and Klayton Lewis of Pelion, S.C. Also surviving are two sisters, Darlene Jackson of Hot Springs, Ark., and Marvene (Howard) Kramer of Calabasas, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob grew up in the Houston area and gave his life to Christ in October 1967. He had a very meaningful call to the ministry and was licensed to the ministry by First Baptist Church, Houston. He was ordained by Hickory Ridge Baptist of Upton, Mo., in 1971. Bob pastored several churches in the area: Hickory Ridge, Rock Springs, New Hope, Plato, Ellis Prairie, Mt. Nebo in Lockwood, Raymondville, Northside Baptist and Maness Memorial. Bob was also youth minister at Simmons and Hous ton First Baptist.

Bob was called into evangelism in 1998 and was a member of the Fellowship of Missouri Baptist Evangelist and currently an active member. Bob loved to preach and tell others about Christ.

Bob showed love to his family by spending time with them. He enjoyed cooking fish and pork rinds. Some of his hobbies were fishing, hunting and building furniture. Bob was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his dog, Sam, with all his heart and wanted to take him everywhere he went. Bob loved spending time with his friends and church family. He loved playing card games, Hand & Foot and golfing with Ray and Priscilla. Bob loved to travel with Millie and Sam and take their annual trip to Texas in their travel trailer.

He will be very missed by all that knew him.

Services were 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at Houston First Baptist Church with the Rev. Will Griswold and the Rev. Jimmy Harris officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Payton Choate, Adam White, Mike Lunbeck, Everett Beller, Bob McNew, Randy Brinson and Kelly Lay.
