The Houston Police Department recently handled several investigations that led to citations or arrests.

The following are excerpts from reports generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Levi T. Falwell, 42, of 8164 Morton Road, No. 21, at Houston, was cited for driving with a suspended license on Oct. 31.

•Caleb N.W. Jovanovic, 18, of 303 Broadway in Houston, was cited for stealing under $750 after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart on Nov. 3.

•Larissa Easter, 23, of 11441 Holt Lane at Plato, was arrested Nov. 3 for having an active felony warrant for dangerous drugs.

An officer made the arrest in the parking lot at Texas County Memorial Hospital. Easter had reportedly just given birth to a child and the Division of Family Services had gotten involved. She was taken to the Texas County Jail.

•An officer responded at about 12:50 p.m. Oct. 30 to a report of a fight at Security Bank of the Ozarks on U.S. 63.

Upon arrival, the officer met outside the bank with a 34-year-old man who stated he had tried to cash a check but was denied. The man said he had never had a problem like that before and that he and his wife had spoken to a manager on the phone before leaving.

The pair claimed the manager had cursed at the wife over the phone, and the man said he decided to go back inside to speak with the manager “man to man.” The man said he was then met outside by the manager and a fight ensued.

The manager told the officer the other man was angry and started the fight. Surveillance video was viewed and reported showed the customer throwing the first punch.

The bank manager didn’t want to pursue charges, but the customer did. The bank manager said if the customer pursued charges, he would, too. A report was sent to the county prosecutor.

•Tracey Blaszkowiak, 48, of 9155 Smith Road at Hartshorn, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated (drugs) and failure to yield right of way after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 6.
