Colton Stewart hit three 3-pointers and scored a team-high 17 points as the Houston seventh-grade boys’ basketball team beat Cabool 44-22 on the road Monday night.
Anthony Carroll added 12 points for the Tigers, who led 22-9 at the half and by 15 entering the fourth quarter.
Houston improved to 4-8 overall and 3-4 in the South Central Association.
Last Tuesday, Stewart had five 3-pointers and 16 points in a 42-34 defeat to Licking.
Carroll added seven points for the Tigers, who trailed 13-2 after the opening quarter.
EIGHTH GRADE: Korbyn Tune and Hunter McKinney scored 11 points apiece in the Houston eighth-grade boys’ basketball team’s 44-36 win last Tuesday against Licking.
Cooper Mills added nine points for the Tigers and Josh Smith had six.
On Monday, Tune scored eight points and Smith had five in a 30-13 loss to Cabool.
Houston fell to 4-8 overall and 2-5 in the SCA.
