Missouri Department of Transportation crews were expected Tuesday to assess Highway 181 on Tuesday after a crane was toppled in an accident Monday afternoon south of Cabool.
That stretch of the highway — near Highway EE — was closed after a crane fell off a trailer and in a ditch, the Cabool Fire Department said.
Traffic was diverted until Highway 181 reopened. The Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted.
Authorities said the crane was expected to be roadside for one or two days. It must be upright before it can be started.
