A contribution to the Houston Education Foundation from the Intercounty Electric Cooperative RoundUp program will assist the Houston Middle School math program.

Paul Smeltzer, foundation president, said the $1,300 funded 100-specific calculators that are approved for state and national assessments. The school did not have enough of them for all students to prepare for testing.

This allowed the school to have calculators before and during testing.
