Greg Edward Bland, 38, died Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Cox South Hospital.
He was born Nov. 17, 1974, in Fort Leonard Wood, son of Herbert Charly Jr. and Sandra Lee Williams Bland.
He obtained his GED and attended Gateway Trucking School, where he received his CDL. He was a truck driver until his health declined.
He enjoyed being with his family, especially his kids. He loved to take his boat to the lake and go fishing with family. He also liked to hunt deer and turkey.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Sandra, of Seymour; his fiancé of eight years, Melinda Goodman of the home; three children, Kristian Michae Bland, Greg Charly Bland and Colton Lee Bland; a sister, Trersa Hollingshead of Bourbon; and other family members.
Cremation will follow a private family time. Inurnment will be in Allen Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
