MARY FOX

Mary L. Fox, 84, daughter of Tilden A. and Mary Medlock Stewart, was born July 23, 1916, near Hartshorn. She died Jan. 30, 2001, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston after a long illness. She married Chester Fox. They had five children. Mrs. Fox was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, John; and a granddaughter. Surviving are her children, Dora Mae Wallace of Licking, Naomi Hays of Ozark, Roy Fox of Sparta and Mary Katherine Collins of Summersville; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Services were Feb. 3 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Union Chapel Cemetery.”
