Virginia Mae Buckner Komoroski, 77, daughter of Seba and Grace Buckner, was born May 11, 1923, at Kinderpost. She died Jan. 1, 2001, in St. Louis. Mrs. Komoroski became a member of the First Baptist Church in Licking at an early age. She liked to tell the story of three generations being baptized at the same time – her, her father and grandmother, Aunt Sissy Buckner. Mrs. Komoroski taught a Sunday School class in a later period of her life. She retired from International Shoe Co. in St. Louis, where she worked in the accounting department. Through the years, she enjoyed many hobbies including crocheting, reading and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed keeping up with friends, sending cards and making calls. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew Komoroski; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Edgar. Surviving are her daughter, Phyllis Ann Schultz of St. Louis; stepson, Richard Komoroski of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Donald Buckner of St. Louis; three sisters, LouAnn Edgar and Phyllis Kellison of Edgar Springs and June Izzo of Scottsdale, Ariz; her first husband, Norman Slone; one grandson, one great-granddaughter, and three step-grandchildren. Services were Jan. 5 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harry Foley officiating. Burial was in the Roseberry Cemetery.”
