Lena Mae Fleming, 58, daughter of James Jones and Marie Lee Jones Cantrell, was born March 25, 1942, at Neosho. She died Feb. 15, 2001, at Lester E. Cox Medical Center South in Springfield following a three-year illness. She married Cecil Fleming April 4, 1958. She had five children. Mrs. Fleming had many interests, enjoyed playing bingo with her sisters, loved to crochet and made a blanket for everyone she loved. She was a member of the Assembly of God and was baptized Nov. 14, 1976, by the Rev. Fred Albright. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Jimmie. Surviving are her husband of the home; her mother and stepfather, Marie and Lex Cantrell of Houston; three sons, Terry, Randy and Larry Fleming of Houston; two daughters, Rhonda Waters of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Pam McKinney of Houston; four brothers, Jerry Jones, Steve Cantrell, Rick Cantrell and Bruce Cantrell of Houston; five sisters, Wanda Hebblethwaite, Betty McKinney, Nancy Hayes, Donna Smitt and Debra Lee of Houston; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were Feb. 17 at the Assembly of God in Houston with the Rev. Joe Combs and the Rev. Ed Hamilton officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.”
