Frederick Charles Vyskocil, 57, son of Charles and Bertha Elenor Payne Vyskocil, was born April 14, 1943, at Ithaca, N.Y. He died April 2, 2001, at his home at Summersville. He retired from the U.S. Navy March 1987 and worked for the state of Missouri. He graduated with high honors from Southwest Baptist University at Mountain View in 1992. Surviving are his wife, Pat, of the home; two sons, Charles Frederick Vyskocil of Locke, N.Y., and Jeremy James Vyskocil of Groton, N.Y.; one daughter, Lyn Marie Eckert of Freeville, N.Y.; two stepsons, Eric D. Byrd of Ithaca, N.Y., and Bryan T. Byrd of Boone, N.C.; one sister, Lyn Panetta of Glen Cove, N.Y., and three grandchildren. Memorial services were April 5 at the Bradford Funeral Chapel in Summersville with the Rev. Jim Doyle officiating. Burial will be later in Arlington National Cemetery at Washington, D.C.
