Sunny Ray Cooper, 76, son of Ray J. Cooper and Pearl E. Willis Cooper, was born April 25, 1927, at Hartshorn. He died Dec. 28, 2003, at Washington County Memorial Hospital at Potosi. He married Ruth V. Bennett. They had three children. Mr. Cooper was a member of the Jesus First Church of Woodward, Okla. He was an operations engineer in construction for many years and a member of Operating Engineers Local 513. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 20 years. Surviving are his children, Gary W. Cooper of Farmington, Steven J. Cooper of Fredericktown and Linda K. Jackson of Brosley; two brothers, Floyd Cooper of Summersville and Dale Cooper of Hartshorn; one sister, Velma Ireland of Farmington; and two granddaughters. Services were Dec. 30 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mel Skeen and the Rev. Tim Morgan officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery near Hartshorn. “
