The Rev. Virgil Doane Ragain, 75, son of James Ercil and Eula Leona Ballard Ragain, was born Sept. 12, 1928, at Wichita, Kan. He died March 8, 2004, at his home at Flint, Mich. He grew up in the Bucyrus area and was an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Church of God at Joplin since 1958. Surviving are his wife of the home; two daughters, Renee Turner of Flint, Mich., and Carol Thornton of Arlington, Texas; four sisters, Clara Flowers, Norma Klass, Barbara Vallely and Connie Flowers of Missouri; and four grandchildren. Services were at the Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Flint, Mich., with the Rev. Donald Grosvenor officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Hills Cemetery under the direction of Plumb-Smith Funeral Home of Flint Township. “
