Dane S. Lewis, 82, son of Dave and Sarah Adeline Taft Lewis, was born Nov. 12, 1921, at Eunice. He died May 27, 2004, at his home in Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Keith; and one sister, Vernetta. Surviving are his wife, Joyce, of 56 years; his children, Connie Lewis of Spartanburg, S.C., Harvey Lewis of San Diego, Calif., and Rhonda Stratman of O’Fallon. Services were May 29 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Boone Creek Cemetery. “
